If you’ve been lucky enough to receive a bouquet from FLOWERBX, you’ll know their blooms are the best in the business. Founder Whitney Bromberg Hawkings, who worked in the luxury fashion business for two decades before starting FLOWERBX in 2015, has taken her brand from strength to strength. In the last five years, she’s worked with high-end clients from Louis Vuitton, Balmain and Dior, to the Birley Group and countless style-conscious private customers. Unsurprisingly, Whitney loves to send flowers to friends, so if you have her round for dinner, expect a bouquet the day before. Any evening at hers, meanwhile, will most likely involve a recipe from her favourite restaurant, The River Café, along with a bottle of Italian Valpolicello Ripasso – served from The Sette’s coloured glassware.
My Cuisinart, which I love!
Any and every River Café cookbook by Ruthie Rogers.
Oat milk, cashew yoghurt, flaxseed oil, hemp seeds, avocados, berries, black rice, quinoa and kale. If you think that sounds a bit dull, my kids would agree!
I love all the coloured glassware – it would immediately lift any tablescape.
Any meal at The River Café is unforgettable.
As you might expect, I always send flowers in advance. Then, I like to take a tuberose FLOWERBX candle and room spray with me.
You’ve guessed it – The River Café!
Good Italian Valpolicello Ripasso.
Puglia and Provence are joint favourites.
I have really curly hair, but I usually wear it straight!
Catching a sunrise makes me feel like I’m winning at life.
I literally don’t want one single material thing. What I am, craving, however, is the family holiday in Puglia, postponed from last May to this May. I am praying that it happens!
