Five minutes with Rachelle Hruska MacPherson
The powerhouse CEO talks art, attitude and amazing restaurants
It would be easy to be intimidated by Rachelle Hruska MacPherson: co-founder and CEO of GuestofaGuest.com and Lingua Franca, she’s been named one of the most influential women in technology by Fast Company, and made the New York Post’s list of 13 women under 30 to watch. Amazingly, this powerhouse business woman manages to stay entirely down to earth, keeping her fridge stocked with Sancerre and favouring takeaway sushi over elaborate dinners. We sit down with her to get the gossip on how she starts her day, her most memorable meal and what she’d like to achieve in the next decade.

Right now I’m super into Sheila Hicks, the artist. I’d love to have dinner with her in Paris!
A good attitude.
I’d use the Bon Appétit linens to recreate a chic, understated French country dinner, and mix in some of our handmade paper flowers in The Sette’s gorgeous striped vases. Then, I’d lay out a platter of some kind of protein on this guy, and serve some wine in these unexpected glasses. To set the mood, I’d light my favourite vintage candelabras with these candles.
