Augarten Wien
The Viennese Augarten – the oldest baroque park in the heart of Vienna – has been home to the fine arts since its inception. Since 1923 the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten (the second oldest in Europe) has had its headquarters in the hall building of the eponymous Augarten Palace, which still exists today. We love their champagne bowls as well as the croissant and bread roll porcelain boxes. These were inspired by a joke made to Emperor Franz Joseph I who found a porcelain bread roll in his napkin instead of his favourite bread.
