In Conversation with Christina Norton...
Christina Norton is the authority on all things luxury – after all, she is the group communications manager for high-end hotels like Claridge’s, The Connaught, The Berkeley and The Maybourne Beverly Hills. An artist and photography enthusiast, Christina has a BA in jewellery design from Central Saint Martins, but she’s also keen to learn Italian and start a garden – the perfect spot for hosting for al-fresco dinners. For now, we think we’ll spend winter holed up in her idea of a dream home: overlooking the sea, with a huge kitchen and grand piano for her musical husband. Sounds pretty dreamy to us….
Game, sette, match...
Cat Bingo (Magma for Laurence King) – This might be my all-time favourite game, and we always bring it out at the end of a meal, works with all ages, breaks the ice when people don’t know each other and causes much merriment even when played with the best of friends.
Heart sette on…
A garden, to grow my own flowers and host al fresco dinners with friends and family.
Sette in my ways…
I drink too much coffee.
Sunrise or sunsette…
I love a beautiful sunset. A sunset reminds me of the importance of time, and how we should all make good use of it. Ralph Waldo Emerson famously said – Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn.
Ready, sette, go…
Learn a new language. Specifically Italian.
Sette the record straight…
I love to sing but I’m a terrible singer!
Sette teeth on edge…
Wall marks – I have a melamine foam cleaning sponge in every room.
Sette an example...
Spreading positive energy would be at the top of my list.
Sette the scene...
My dream home would be mid-century modern overlooking the sea (large enough to host friends and family throughout the year) with a large kitchen and waterfront patio surrounded by fruit trees and flowering plants. We’d have a grand piano where my husband could play (I promise I won’t sing!) and fireplaces in every room to snuggle up with a good book sipping hot chocolate during those chillier winter months.
Jet-sette...
Tuscany for its coast, culture and cuisine.
DJ sette...
